EDA’s Company Class

EDA Leadership Program

Grades 6-12

We strongly believe in building leaders through the dance experience. Dancers have great opportunities to fully invest themselves in EDA’s leadership program by enrolling in Company Class. There are three different levels of the program: an assistant, mentor, and student director. Any EDA student between the grades of 6-12 is welcomed to apply. Dancers will learn, create, connect, and reflect. See the image below.

  • Mentors

    Attendance is key criteria

    Enrolled in company & one other class

    Collaborates with leadership team

    Integrates creative ideas for EDA enhancement

    Active in community events

    Opportunities to co-teach class with directors

  • Student Directors

    Attendance is key criteria

    Enrolled in company & at least two other classes

    Upholds an encouraging atmosphere

    Collaborates with EDA director on decisions

    Plans & organizes recitals

    Integrates creative ideas for EDA enhancement

    Active in community events

    Opportunities to teach class

    Consults with mentors & assistants
