    Creative Movement

    Ages 3-4

    A 45-minute introductory dance class consisting of ballet, jazz, and creative movement. The dancers will learn basic steps while following and listening to directions in a positive environment. Emphasis is placed on both fine and gross motor skill development, coordination, and balance in a safe nurturing environment while using engaging music and the use of props. Dancers will be introduced to the Elements of dance and to the BrainDance.

    Attire: Hair in a bun. Pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and a ballet dress.

    Creative Dance

    Ages 5-6

    This 45 minute class consists of ballet, jazz, and creative movement. Dancers will learn to identify basic forms of movement through imaginative games, songs, music, and rhythmic patterns. Young dancers will be introduced to the elements of dance and the BrainDance as well as take direction from the instructor and share turns with peers.

    Attire: Hair in a bun or in a ponytail. Pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and a ballet dress.

    Pre Ballet

    Ages 4-6

    An introduction to ballet with beginning development of ballet concepts including turn out, coordination, spatial awareness, positions of the feet and arms, and a specific focus on class etiquette.

    Attire: Hair in a bun or in a ponytail. Pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black leotard. Skirts are okay.

    Ballet Level 1

    Ages 6-18

    Class focuses on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, French terminology, and position of the feet/arms. Dancers are introduced to barre exercises, simple center work, across the floor, and simple allegro. Ages are subject to change based on the dancer's ability.

    Attire: Hair in a bun or in a ponytail. Pink tights, ballet shoes, black leotard. No skirts.

    Ballet Level 2

    Ages 10 & up

    Dancers continue to develop extension of the legs and strength of the feet as well as more advanced barre work, center work, port de bras, musicality and artistry. Dancers in this class are serious about developing their ballet technique and may be assessed for pointe work.

    Attire: Hair in a bun or in a ponytail. Pink tights, ballet shoes, black leotard. No skirts.

    Ballet Level 3

    Ages 12 & up

    This is a pre-pointe/pointe class. Dancers in this class have demonstrated strength in their feet and ankles. Students are able to self correct and apply corrections more frequently. Dancers will see an increase in difficulty at the barre and center work and allegro have become a focus during class.

    Attire: Hair in a bun or in a ponytail. Pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black leotard. No skirts.

    Jazz Level 1

    Ages 6-9

    This class will give students a basic grounding in jazz terminology and technique. The warm-up and progressions will use classic jazz technique to develop students' musicality, athleticism, alignment, and performance. This class is subject to the needs of the overall attendees of each class.

    Jazz Levels 2 & 3

    Ages 10 & up

    Junior Hip Hop

    Ages 5-7

    Junior Hip Hop dancers will learn basic steps while following and listening in a positive environment. The class utilizes music with appropriate lyrics and movement intended for younger students.

    Attire: Any clothing that is easy and comfortable to move in. Wear a clean pair of tennis shoes.

    Hip Hop Level 1

    Ages 7-18

    Our Hip Hop classes teach rhythm, coordination, musicality and choreography without suggestive music or movements. This is an excellent class for high-energy kids who want to take a fast and fun dance class. This class is subject to the needs of the overall attendees of each class

    Attire: Any clothing that is easy and comfortable to move in. Wear a clean pair of tennis shoes.

    Hip Hop Level 2

    Ages 7-18

    Our Hip Hop classes teach rhythm, coordination, musicality and choreography without suggestive music or movements. This is an excellent class for high-energy kids who want to take a fast and fun dance class. This class is subject to the needs of the overall attendees of each class

    Junior Tap

    Ages 5-7

    Junior Tap is 45 minutes long and uses special shoes that make sound by striking the metal tap against the floor. of the metal tap striking the floor. Tap utilizes rhythm, syncopation, and sound in addition to movement. An emphasis is placed on musicality, expression, and improvisation.

    Attire: Any comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, socks and tap shoes.

  • Tap 1 dancer ready to perform

    Tap Level 1

    Ages 7-18

    Tap class is an hour long and uses special shoes that make sound by striking the metal tap against the floor. of the metal tap striking the floor. Tap utilizes rhythm, syncopation, and sound in addition to movement. An emphasis is placed on musicality, expression, and improvisation.

    Attire: Any comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, socks and tap shoes.

    Company Class

    Ages 12-18

    Are you enthusiastic about dance and helping others? Then this is the class for you! This class is for the beginner dancer or the experienced dancer. Company members will provide support for the community, create leaders to lead themselves and be role models in society. There is an extra time commitment to this class.

    Attire--shorts, leggings, or jogger pants. Black or tan jazz shoes, t-shirt, tank top or a black leotard

    Dance Exploration

    Ages 8-14

    This hour-long dance class aims to inspire dancers to delve into movement with creativity. Dancers will discover how to effectively convey their emotions and feelings while emphasizing the fundamental aspects of dance, including the elements of dance. They will work together to choreograph dances.

    Attire—leggings/shorts and tank top/t-shirts. Hair in ponytail or out of the face. May be barefoot or wear ballet/jazz shoes.

    Beg. Tumbling

    Ages 4-6

    In our 1 hour tumbling class, we focus on forward rolls, backwards rolls, round off, handstands, cartwheels, increase in flexibility and strengthening.

    Attire: hair pulled away from the face. Leotard with shorts, biketard, or any clothing that is tight. bare feet.

    Int. Tumbling

    Ages 9-11

    In our 1 hour tumbling class, we focus on handstands into forward rolls, solid cartwheels and roundoffs, back walk overs, front walk overs, back handsprings, front handsprings, and an increase in flexibility and strengthening. 

    Attire: hair pulled away from the face. Leotard with shorts, biketard, or any clothing that is tight. bare feet.

    Adv. Tumbling

    Ages 12 and up

    In our 1 hour tumbling class, we focus on handstands into forward rolls, solid cartwheels and roundoffs, back walk overs, front walk overs, back handsprings, front handsprings, and an increase in flexibility and strengthening.
